Men's Lacrosse Closes Season with 19-8 Senior Day Win Over AIC

Blouin, Gallo, Cunningham lead offensive surge as SNHU secures winning record

Senior Aiden Blouin (Barre, Vt.), junior Joey Gallo (Derry, N.H.) and sophomore PJ Cunningham (Bronx, N.Y.) combined for 12 goals to lead the Southern New Hampshire University men's lacrosse team to a 19-8 Northeast 10 victory over American International College on Senior Day at Ouellette Stadium.
KEY MOMENTS
  • After American International scored the game's opening goal, freshman Flynn Baker (Franklin, Mass.) and Cunningham responded with back-to-back tallies to give the Penmen an early lead.
  • Gallo extended the advantage to 3-1 midway through the first quarter, and the Penmen would take control in the second.
  • Southern New Hampshire erupted for seven goals in the second quarter, including two from Gallo and strikes from sophomore Blake Wozniak (Garden Grove, Calif.), Cunningham and Blouin, to build a 10-4 lead at halftime.
  • The Penmen continued to pull away in the third, as goals from Gallo, junior Sean Dwyer (Ballston Spa, N.Y.) and Cunningham pushed the margin to 13-5.
  • SNHU added six more goals in the fourth quarter, including a pair from Blouin, to close out the 19-8 victory.

  • Gallo led the way with five goals and one assist, while Blouin totaled four goals and three assists for a game-high seven points.

  • Wozniak scored twice, and senior Christian Perez (Methuen, Mass.) found the back of the net on Senior Day.
  • Senior goalkeeper John Batchelor (Longmeadow, Mass.) made six saves to earn the win.
  • The Penmen held advantages in shots (46-34), ground balls (36-27) and faceoffs (16-13).
  • Southern New Hampshire finishes the season with a winning record for the first time since 2022.
  • The Penmen are now 25-2 all-time against AIC and have won 15 straight meetings.
  • Gallo finished the season as the team leader with 28 goals and 42 points.
  • Prior to the game, Southern New Hampshire honored its senior class: co-captains Blouin and Perez, as well as Logan Campbell (Westbrook, Maine) and Batchelor.
