Freshman Ross Wallace (Garden City, N.Y.) finished 18th overall to lead the Southern New Hampshire University men's cross country team at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday.
KEY MOMENT
- Wallace completed the eight-kilometer course in 25:11 to earn a top-20 finish in his first collegiate 8K race. That ranks as the 14th best time at 8k in program history.
NOTES
- Sophomore Landon Graveline (Northwood, N.H.) was the second Penmen across the finish line, placing 140th in 27:39.39.
- Freshman Brady Harker (Hill, N.H.) followed in 143rd place with a time of 27:44.49.
- Freshman Marcus Clark (Kensington, N.H.) finished 147th in 27:49.72.
- Sophomore Jackson Bock (Danbury, Conn.) rounded out SNHU's scoring five, placing 198th in 29:27.84.
- Junior Aiden Gibson (Paso Robles, Calif.) finished 203rd in 29:40.14.
- Senior Alex Labrecque (Hooksett, N.H.) did not finish.
- SNHU placed 20th among the 32 teams competing in the Men's 8K Gold Race.
- Wallace, who won the season-opening Shacklette Invitational on Sept. 5, has been SNHU's top finisher in each of the Penmen's first two meets of the season.
- The SNHU women's cross country team did not compete Saturday.
