Sophomore Aurel Creveuil (Nanterre, France) won a pair of matches, as the Southern New Hampshire University men's tennis team recorded a 6-1 victory against Franklin Pierce University on Wednesday at the FPU Tennis Courts.
KEY MOMENTS
  • Creveuil and senior Carlos Molero (Barcelona, Spain) set the tone by opening doubles with a 6-0 blanking of Ruben Minguez and Sebastian Garcia at the top flight.
  • Creveuil then put the Penmen in total control with a 6-1, 7-5 triumph over Daniel Garcia at No. 2 singles to make it 3-0.
NOTES
  • Southern New Hampshire begins the season 2-0 for the first time since the 2022-23 campaign.
  • Junior Vicente Preto (Sesimbra, Portugal) wound up clinching the match when Minguez retired. Preto was ahead, 7-6 (7-5), 4-1, at the time.
  • Preto and junior Nils Dueppe (Frankfurt, Germany) clinched the doubles point by edging Jaime Godoy and Martin Dominguez, 6-4, at No. 2.
  • SNHU leads the all-time series with FPU, 22-6, and has captured eight of the last 11, including three-in-a-row. The Penmen have also won four of five at Franklin Pierce.
