The Southern New Hampshire University field hockey team opened the 2026 season with a 4-0 loss to eighth-ranked Bloomsburg University on Friday afternoon at Larkin Field.
KEY MOMENT
Alyxandra Flick put Bloomsburg in front just 45 seconds into the contest. SNHU kept the deficit at 1-0 through halftime before Genna Bush scored twice in the third quarter to extend the Huskies' lead.
NOTES
- Sophomore Kim Dull (Wilnis, Netherlands) led the Penmen with six shots, all of which were on goal.
- Sophomore Olivia Andersen (Madbury, N.H.) also recorded a shot on goal.
- Sophomore goalkeeper Agustina Miranda Waigand (Miami, Fla.) made eight saves.
- SNHU produced five shots in the fourth quarter, putting all five on goal.
- Bloomsburg finished with a 16-8 advantage in shots and a 12-7 edge in shots on goal.
- The Huskies held an 11-8 advantage in penalty corners.
- Bush and Flick each scored twice for Bloomsburg, while goalkeeper Molly Bross stopped all seven shots she faced.
- Friday's game was the season opener for both teams.
