    Assistant Men's Soccer Coach
Giovani Riello joins Southern New Hampshire University as an Assistant Coach for the men’s soccer team after serving two years as a Graduate Assistant and Interim Head Coach at New England College. While at NEC, the program ended the Fall 2021 season with a 9-7-2 record, winning the New England Collegiate Conference Championship and earning a spot at the NCAA DIII Men’s Soccer Tournament. The program led the NECC in goals for average (1.94), fewest goals allowed (20), goals-against average (1.15), and shots per game (18.2), while eight members of the program were honored by the NECC, including Co-Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year, and Coaching Staff of the Year.

Previously, Giovani served one year as an Assistant Coach and Goalkeeper Coach for the nationally ranked Prep School Putnam Science Academy. Before joining PSA, Riello served one year as an Assistant Coach for Division II powerhouse Post University, where he was able to help the program to win the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference title and compete at the NCAA National Tournament. Riello also spent two years with the Black Rock F.C. USL 2 program as a Goalkeeper Coach and Assistant Coach, in addition to also working with the Black Rock F.C. Prep Academy, where he was instrumental in assisting players to obtain Division I and Division II scholarships to top schools across the country. 

Riello played at the collegiate level for the University of New Hampshire (Division I) and for Post University (Division II) where he obtained a BA in Sports Management. Riello is a graduate from South Kent School, where he was twice selected to the Western New England All-Star Match and earned All-State honors. He helped lead South Kent to a 19-0-1 record in 2011, earning the Western New England, New England, and ESPN High School National Title.
