2012: Appeared in all 14 games while making 12 starts on defense...totaled 15 groundballs and nine caused turnovers on the season...tallied three groundballs on three different occasions against Franklin Pierce (3/17), Merrimack (4/10), and Saint Rose (4/24)...posted a season-high three caused turnovers against Saint Rose (4/24)...caused two turnovers against Dowling (4/21)...took three shots on the season, two of which were on-goal. 

BEFORE SNHU/PERSONAL: Transferred to SNHU from Siena College, where he played two years of lacrosse for coach Brian Brecht and helped the Saints to a MAAC conference championship and an NCAA tournament appearance...2008 graduate of Exeter HS where he lettered in ice hockey and lacrosse...played lacrosse for coach Gerry Holly and served as team captain...earned First Team All-State Honors and was named the New Hampshire Defensive Player of the Year...also named a High School All-American...named to the Fosters Daily Democrat Dream Team...selected to play in annual N.H./Vermont All-Star game...born Derek Favara on July 23, 1990...son of James and Nancy Favara...has one brother, Craig, who played basketball at St. Joseph's (ME)...SNHU writing tutor...Special Education major.
