Mike Heaney joined the SNHU women's basketball coaching staff as an assistant coach prior to the 2018-19 season.

Prior to joining SNHU, Coach Heaney spent 15 years at nearby Souhegan HS, leading the boys program to two Final Four appearances and the 2013 state finals.  In 2014 he took over the girls program, making two quarterfinal appearances.  In 2015 he lead the New Hampshire Twin State team to a win over Vermont in the annual Twin States Game. In addition to SNHU and Souhegan, Mike has coached in the New England Storm and Granite State Rockettes AAU programs.  In October 2022 he received his Masters is Sports Management from SNHU.
