Daniela Stake joined the women's volleyball program as an assistant coach in October 2021, following nearly a decade of coaching multiple club and high school volleyball teams.

Stake grew up playing volleyball in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with most of her coaches from Brazil now working as part of the Brazilian National Team coaching staff and other professional teams.

Stake attended Brigham Young University – Hawaii and played volleyball for four years. As a freshman in 1993, Stake earned NAIA First Team All-America and Volleyball Magazine First Team All-America honors. In 1994, after winning the NAIA National Championship, she was named the tournament MVP. Again in 1995, she lead her team to another NAIA National Championship and earned All-Tournament Second Team accolades. Stake closed out her playing college career in 1996 with another NAIA National Championship and earning another All-Tournament First Team honor, NAIA First Team All-American nod, and Volleyball Magazine NAIA Player of the Year selection. Stake finished her volleyball career with school records in aces and attacks, while finishing second in kills and digs. In 1997, she served as the volleyball team manager, keeping stats and aiding in practice to help BYUH to another NAIA National Championship.

After graduating with a Bachelor's degree in International Business Management, Stake worked for a few years until she married, moved to Germany and had three beautiful children. After four years in Germany, Stake moved around the U.S. until settling in Maryland in 2009, where, at the right time, an opportunity was presented to be a coach for a local club team, which marked the start of her coaching volleyball career. In Maryland, Stake coached U12-U14 teams until she moved to Germany once again. While in Germany, she coached at the DODEA Ramstein High School, in addition to coaching and helping to build a local club of 30 players up to almost 70 by the time she left in 2020. That summer, in the middle of the pandemic, Stake and her family to moved to New Hampshire, where she quickly found another club team to coach.
