MANCHESTER, N.H. - Stef Young (Natick, MA) made six saves en route to her fourth shutout of the season as No. 17 Southern New Hampshire University ran its win streak to five games with a 1-0 win over Bentley College in Northeast-10 women's soccer Wednesday night at Larkin Field.  The Penmen improved to 6-1-1 overall and 5-1 in the NE-10, while the Falcons are now 3-7-1 and 1-4-1 in the league.

Southern New Hampshire is currently on its longest win streak since a nine-game string during the 1997 season.

Southern New Hampshire scored the game's only goal 2:04 before halftime.  Emily Mongeau (Westboro, MA) delivered a long pass up to Sophia Saint Paul (Brockton, MA), who was standing 12 yards out on the right side.  Bentley keeper Kara Smith stepped out to play Saint Paul, but Saint Paul took one step past Smith and fired into the open net.

Young picked up her fourth shutout of the season and 12th of her career, moving her into sole possession of fifth place on the program's career shutout list.  Smith made seven saves for Bentley, with seven of those coming in the first half.  The Penmen outshot their guests 26-8 on the evening.

Southern New Hampshire returns to action on Saturday when it hosts Southern Connecticut State University in a 1:00 contest at Larkin Field.
