Keith, Collins Claim Final Weekly NE10 Awards

Penmen tied No. 17 Saint Anselm, 1-1, to wrap regular season

NO. ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Senior Claudia Keith (Danvers, Mass.) of the Southern New Hampshire University women's soccer team was recognized as the NE10 Goalkeeper of the Week, while freshman Jillian Collins (Wilmington, Mass.) received NE10 Rookie of the Week honors, both for the period ending Nov. 9, the league office announced Monday.

Keith, who also took home the honor Oct. 13, stopped four of the five shots she faced for SNHU in a 1-1 draw with No. 17 Saint Anselm College on Wednesday. The tie in the regular-season finale helped the Penmen claim the No. 5 seed for the NE10 Championship.

Collins, meanwhile, buried the equalizer in the 79th minute against the regular season champs.

Keith started all 14 matches she played, going 5-6-3 with four shutouts, stopping 72 of 92 shots over 1260:00 for a 1.43 goals-against average (GAA) and .783 save percentage. She ranked third in the NE10 in saves per game (5.14), fourth in total saves, fifth in save percentage and seventh in GAA.

Collins tied for fifth on the team with five points on a pair of goals and an assist, as she played all 16 matches, including five starts.

The Penmen (5-8-3) saw their season draw to a close Sunday with a 2-0 NE10 Championship quarterfinal loss to fourth-seeded Adelphi University.
