MANCHESTER, N.H. - Katie Dunn led visiting Le Moyne
College with 18 points as it edged Southern New Hampshire
University 57-56 in Northeast-10 women's basketball Tuesday night
at the SNHU Fieldhouse. The Dolphins improved to 14-11
overall and 11-10 in the NE-10, while the Penmen are now 11-14 and
7-13 in the league.

players in double figures. Kathleen Gladstone finished with
12 points, while Vanessa Holden added 11 points and grabbed a
game-high 10 rebounds. Julia Houghtaling
(Franconia, NH) led Southern New Hampshire with 18 points on 8-12

points in the second half and was down 54-44 with 4:39 left when it
held Le Moyne scoreless for just under four minutes and used a 10-1
run to cut the lead to one, 55-54 with 20 seconds left on a three
by Stephanie Houghton (Manchester, NH). Le
Moyne would turn over the ball on the inbounds pass following a
timeout giving SNHU the ball back with 19.7 seconds to play.
A layup attempt by Ashara
Carrington (Marblehead, MA) was blocked and after getting
the ball back turned it over. Courtney Coryea sank a pair of
free throws for Le Moyne to push the lead to 57-54 with nine
seconds left, and the Dolphins would foul SNHU twice coming up the
court as it only had four team fouls to that point.
On an inbounds with 2.9 seconds
left, Anderson was fouled shooting a three at the top of the
key. She would make the first before the second free throw
attempt would spin around and out. Anderson made the third
but the Penmen were not able to come up with the ball on the
inbounds.
SNHU came out on fire and was up
16-3 just 5:48 into the game following a three by Anderson.
The Dolphins would get it down to six, 22-16, with 8:01 to go on a
layup by Brandy Wangelin, but five straight Penmen points capped by
a Megan Shay (Candor, NY) three made it 27-16 with
7:06 before halftime. Southern New Hampshire would carry a
30-25 lead into the locker room.

points of the second half to take a 33-30 lead with 17:29 left on a
