MANCHESTER, N.H. - The Southern New Hampshire University women's tennis team won its second straight match Thursday afternoon, topping host Saint Anselm College 8-1 in a Northeast-10 match.  The Penmen improve to 3-3 overall and in the NE-10, while the Hawks are now 3-4 overall and in the league.

In singles play, Catalina Echeverry (Cali, Colombia) was a 6-2, 6-3 winner at No. 1, while Lauren Nigrelli (Westerly, RI) was a 6-1, 7-5 victor at No. 2.  Kristen Franco (Bedford, NH) was a 6-1, 6-0 winner at No. 3, while Juliet Verhofstad (Plymouth, NH) took down a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 4.  Amanda Nason (Center Sandwich, NH) was a 8-1 winner at No. 6 singles.

Southern New Hampshire swept the three doubles matches, with Echeverry and Nigrelli teaming up for a 8-3 win in the top slot.  Verhofstad and Alison Waring (Westboro, MA) were 8-1 winners at No. 2, while Ramos and Nason upped their record to 5-0 this season with a 8-4 win at third doubles.

Southern New Hampshire returns to action Saturday when it hosts Saint Michael's College in a noon match at the SNHU courts.
