Women's Soccer Falls in Season Finale

BOX SCORE

MANCHESTER, N.H. - Visiting C.W. Post registered  a 3-1 non-conference women's soccer victory over Southern New Hampshire University Wednesday afternoon at Larkin Field.  The Pioneers improve to 12-4-1 with the win, while the Penmen conclude their season with a record of 4-13-3.

Southern New Hampshire took a 1-0 lead four minutes into the game.  Stef Young (Natick, Mass.) gave a ball to Emily Donahue (Bristol, R.I.), who one-touched a pass over to Alyssa Integlia (Johnston, R.I.).  Integlia then chipped a ball over the head of Pioneer goalie Allie Weiser.  Young's assist marked her first assist during her SNHU career, as the regular starting keeper played the field for the first time as a collegian.

The Pioneers recorded unassisted goals by Qaroline Nahl and Ivana Babic at the 25th and 33rd minute, respectively to grab a 2-1 halftime lead.  C.W. Post then added an insurance goal at the 56:57 mark, scored by Prudence Rydstrom off of a Danielle Deluca assist.  The Penmen were outshot by the Pioneers 11-9 on the afternoon.

Starting Penmen keeper Casey Les (Palmer, Mass.) played the entire first half of the game, allowing two goals and stopping one shot.  Les took to the midfield in the second half, switching with Young who returned to her customary spot between the pipes.  Young made three saves while only allowing one goal.  Weiser went the distance for the Pioneers and made two saves.
