EASTON, Mass. -
The Southern New Hampshire University women's tennis team suffered
its first loss of the season Friday afternoon, falling to host
Stonehill College 7-2. The Skyhawks upped their record to 9-2
and 5-0 in the NE-10, while the Penmen are now 3-1 overall and in
the league.
The Penmen picked up both of their
points in singles play. Amber
Chandronnait (Bow, NH) upper her singles record to
11-1 with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles. Catalina
Echeverry (Cali, Colombia) was a 6-4, 3-6, 10-8 winner
at No. 2 singles for Southern New Hampshire.
Southern New Hampshire returns to
action Saturday when it hosts Saint Rose. That match will be
played indoors at the Goffstown YMCA and is slated for a 6:00
start.
