SYRACUSE, N.Y. -
Southern New Hampshire University remained unbeaten with a 9-0
Northeast-10 women's tennis victory over Le Moyne College
Sunday morning. The Penmen have now won 20 straight
Northeast-10 regular season matches and are 3-0 overall and in the
NE-10, while the Dolphins are 1-4 overall and 1-3 in the
league.
Three of SNHU's six singles wins were by 6-0, 6-0 scores as
Catalina Echeverry (Cali, Colombia),
Samantha Jean (Bedford, N.H.) and Kara
Pease (Falmouth, Mass.) all won by that score. The
Dolphins captured just four singles sets and were swept 8-0 in all
three doubles matches.
It marked the conclusion of the fall season for SNHU. Senior
Amber Chandronnait (Bow, N.H.) will compete later
this week at the ITA National Small College Championships by virtue
of her victory at the ITA East Regional last month. She opens
up play Thursday at 10:30 am against third-seeded Jutta Bornefeld
of California (Pa.) University.
