FLUSHING, N.Y. –Southern New Hampshire
University, the third seed in the East Region, was eliminated by
Queens (N.Y.) College 5-0 in the second round of the NCAA Division
II Women's Tennis Championship East Regional Saturday.
The Knights improve to 21-3 and advance to next week's third
round in Altamonte Springs, Fla. The Penmen, who wrapped up
their best season in program history, saw a 19-match win streak
snapped and conclude 20-2 overall.
In singles play, the Penmen were forced to move the singles
lineup up as Amber Chandronnait (Bow, N.H.),
SNHU's No. 1 singles player, suffered an injury during
doubles. Jennifer Zastrow (Rutland, Mass.)
moved into the No. 6 spot.
