COMPLETE WEEKLY RELEASE
SOUTH EASTON, Mass.—Southern New Hampshire University men's ice hockey freshmen Tyler Holske (Attleboro, Mass.) and Tautvydas Shalna (Williston, Vt.) both garnered Northeast-10 Conference weekly awards this week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. Holske has been named NE-10 Goaltender of the week for the third time this season, while Shalna has been named Co-Rookie of the Week alongside Stonehill's Bill Carey.
Holske posted his first career shutout for the Penmen last week as SNHU defeated Franklin Pierce 4-0. He recorded 30 saves in the win, which marked the first shutout for the Penmen since a 2-0 win against Western New England on November 11, 2008. With the shutout, Holske improves his
season save percentage to .903.
Shalna, who earns weekly honors for the first time in his career, tallied a goal and an assist en route to the victory. He scored the game-winning goal 1:29 into the second period and assisted on Bobby Bryant's (Nashua, N.H.) third-period power play goal.
Southern New Hampshire returns to action tomorrow, hosting Stonehill College at 7:30 p.m. in Northeast-10 Conference action.
