GOFFSTOWN, N.H. – Top-seeded Southern New Hampshire University captured its second Northeast-10 Conference women's tennis tournament title with a 5-2 victory over second-seeded Stonehill College at the Allard Center Saturday afternoon.  The Penmen, who earn an automatic bid to next week's NCAA Division II Women's Tennis Championship, won their 12^th straight match and improved to 17-2 overall.  The Skyhawks, who saw a six-match win streak snapped, are now 18-3 and are NE-10 runners-up for the second straight year.  Stonehill is expected to earn an NCAA at-large berth.

Seniors Amber Chandronnait (Bow, N.H.) and Catalina Echeverry (Cali, Colombia) and sophomore Alena Mukdaprakorn (Hartford, Conn.) were all named to the All-Tournament Team for SNHU.

Southern New Hampshire jumped out to a 2-1 lead after the doubles competition.  Chandronnait and Echeverry were 8-0 winners at No. 1, while Mukdaprakorn and Kirsten Jean (Bedford, N.H.) were 8-1 winners at No. 2.

In singles, the Penmen swept the top three spots to clinch the victory.  Chandronnait was a 6-1, 6-0 winner at No. 1, while Mukdaprakorn captured a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 2.  Echeverry clinched the match for SNHU with a hard-fought 7-5, 6-3 victory at No. 3.

Southern New Hampshire has now won 34 straight matches against Northeast-10 opponents including the postseason.  The Penmen will be making their third straight NCAA Tournament appearance.
