Box Score COLCHESTER, Vt. – A goal by Mohamed Toufik (Grande Synthe, France) midway through the second half propelled Southern New Hampshire University to a 1-0 win at Saint Michael's College in Northeast-10 men's soccer Wednesday afternoon. The win, the third straight for the Penmen, improves them to 6-2 and 4-2 in the NE-10, while the Purple Knights are now 3-4-2 and 1-3-1 in the league.
Toufik's goal, his third of the season, came in the 62nd minute. Jayme Kapinos (Ludlow, Mass.) and Jon Brockway (Lebanon, N.H.) were credited with assists on the tally.
Jon Mayo (Merrimack, N.H.) went the distance in goal for the Penmen and made one save, while Saint Michael's keeper Logan Kingman also made one stop as the Penmen outshot the Purple Knights 11-7.
Southern New Hampshire returns to action on Saturday when it travels to The College of Saint Rose for a 12:00 league contest.
