OBITUARY (Concord Monitor)

MANCHESTER, N.H. – Former Southern New Hampshire University men's lacrosse coach Doug Maynard passed away Friday, November 1 at the age of 65 at his home in Dunbarton, N.H.

Maynard coached the Penmen from 1978-85 and posted a 36-38 career record, including an 8-2 1979 campaign that still stands tied for the single-season program record for victories.  Still active in the local lacrosse community, Maynard most recently served as the head coach at Hopkinton (N.H.) High School.

Memorial Visiting Hours will be held Saturday, Nov. 9, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Waters Funeral Home, 50 S. Main St., Concord.

Funeral Services will be held privately for the family.
