GARDEN CITY, N.Y. – No. 20 Adelphi University registered an 83-38 Northeast-10 women's basketball victory over Southern New Hampshire University Wednesday evening at the Center for Recreation and Sport.  The Panthers upped their record to 14-3 and 8-3 in the NE-10, while the Penmen are now 6-11 and 4-8 in the league.

Kelly Mannix led three Adelphi players in double figures with 14 points, going 4-6 from the floor, while Jessica Kitrys totaled 12 points and six rebounds.  Sade Jackson added 10 points, seven rebounds and four assists.

Brooke Springfield (Jaffrey, N.H.) led Southern New Hampshire with 10 points, while Erin Doherty (Marshfield, Mass.) and Kaylea Griffin (Green Springs, Ohio) finished with nine and eight points, respectively.

Adelphi, which never trailed, led 43-31 at halftime and opened the second half with 10 straight points to open up a 53-31 lead with 16:27 to play.  The Panthers maintained at least a 20-point cushion the rest of the way.

The Panthers shot 44.3% from the floor and limited the Penmen to 30.4% shooting for the contest.  Adelphi took 23 more trips to the free throw line, going 23-31 while SNHU was 4-8 at the stripe, and the hosts held a 44-34 rebounding advantage.

SNHU returns to action Saturday, January 25, when SNHU welcomes Le Moyne College for a 1:30 tipoff at the SNHU Fieldhouse.
