MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Southern New Hampshire University women's tennis team posted its eighth straight victory Saturday, downing Le Moyne College 5-0 in a match shortened by earlier weather.  The Penmen, who are on their longest win streak since winning nine in a row in the 2011-12 season, upped their record to 9-1 overall and in the NE-10, while the Dolphins are now 7-7 and 6-5 in the league.

The Penmen dropped two games en route to a doubles sweep.  Diana Vamvakitis (Wading River, N.Y.) and Ashley Loft (Leysin, Switzerland) were 8-0 winners at No. 1, while Sarah Schöllgen (Meerbusch, Germany) and Jamie Hann (Westhampton, N.Y.) posted an 8-0 triumph at No. 2.  Yolanda Green (Springfield, Mass.) and Lindsay Baum (North Salem, N.Y.) recorded an 8-2 win at No. 3.

In singles, Schöllgen made it 4-0 with a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 3, while Loft clinched the victory with a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 2.  Vamvakitis was ahead 6-4, 4-1 at No. 1, while Hann led 6-4, 3-2.

Southern New Hampshire returns to action on Sunday when it hosts Bentley University in a 1:00 contest.
