MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Southern New Hampshire University women's tennis team ran its win streak to nine matches with a 9-0 blanking of Bentley University Sunday afternoon at the SNHU courts. The Penmen improve to 10-1 overall and in Northeast-10 play, while the Falcons are now 6-5 overall and in the league. SNHU's win streak is its longest since the 2011-12 season.
With the win, the Penmen can lock up the No. 2 seed in the upcoming Northeast-10 Championship and a first round bye with a win against Stonehill College on Tuesday at home (3:00). Adelphi University has already secured the conference regular season title with a 12-0 mark.
In singles play, Ashley Loft (Leysin, Switzerland) and Lindsay Baum (North Salem, N.Y.) remained unbeaten in conference play with their wins at No. 2 and No. 6 singles, respectively. Baum also moved to 11-0 in doubles action with a win at No. 3.
