RINDGE, N.H. – Southern New Hampshire University posted an 8-1 Northeast-10 women's tennis victory at Franklin Pierce University Wednesday afternoon. The Penmen extended their win streak to six games as they now stand 7-1 overall and in the NE-10, while the Ravens are now 1-10 overall and in the league.
The Penmen dropped just one game as it opened up a 3-0 lead after doubles, then dropped a total of five games as they swept the top five flights in singles action. Diana Vamvakitis (Wading River, N.Y.) was a straight-set winner at No. 1, while Lindsay Baum (North Salem, N.Y.) won by an 8-0 count at No. 5.
Southern New Hampshire returns to action Friday afternoon when it hosts The College of Saint Rose in a 3:00 Northeast-10 match to kick off three matches this weekend.
