Southern New Hampshire trailed 61-59, when, coming out of a timeout, Catherine Stinson (Lynn, Mass.) converted a drive down the lane to tie the game with 1:10 left.  On the next Golden Knight possession, Ryan came up with a steal and was fouled on a fast-break layup attempt.  She sank 1-of-2 at the line with 55 seconds left to put the Penmen on top 62-61.

Keyontae Williams missed at the other end for Saint Rose and the Penmen controlled the rebound.  Doherty would get fouled with 24 seconds to go and made both to make it 64-61.  Springfield came up with a steal with seven seconds to go, and a pair of Springfield free throws with 6.5 seconds left sealed the victory.

Southern New Hampshire led 45-26 19 seconds into the second half before the Golden Knights reeled off 17 unanswered points to pull within two, 45-43, on a Lesure basket with 14:49 to go.  The Penmen held Saint Rose at bay until the 7:03 mark, when a 6-0 spurt gave the guests their first lead of the half on a Williams basket.  Saint Rose led until a pair of Wiseman free throw tied it at 56 with 3:32 left and a Doherty free throw put the Penmen on top with 3:01 to go.

Saint Rose led just once in the first half, at 2-0, before the Penmen built an early 9-2 lead.  Southern New Hampshire outscored the Golden Knights 16-2 over the final four minutes of the first half and a Griffin layup to beat the buzzer gave the hosts a 43-26 lead at intermission.

Southern New Hampshire shot 65.4% in the first half and 45.8% for the game while the Golden Knights shot 42.6% for the contest.  The Penmen, who were 3-13 behind the arc while Saint Rose was 5-10, went to the free throw line 26 times, converting 19, while the guests were 4-11 at the charity stripe.  SNHU held a 36-32 rebounding advantage.
