Quirine van der Meijs scored one goal and assisted on two others during a three-goal first half to lead Pace University to a 3-0 win against Southern New Hampshire University in a Northeast-10 Conference field hockey contest at Finnerty Field on Friday. The Setters improve to 5-11 and 2-8 in the league, while the Penmen shift to 2-15 and 0-11 in conference play.
Meijs tallied what would prove to be the game-winner 8:55 into the first when she deflected a Carly Corbett feed to the back of the cage to give Pace a 1-0 lead. Just over five minutes later, Meijs set up Jenna Sanossian for a redirect attempt that crossed the goal line and doubled the hosts' advantage. Meijs picked up her fourth point of the afternoon midway through the first half when she fed Sarah Bard at the top of the circle off a penalty corner to provide Pace with the final margin of victory.

Freshman Cassidy Huckins (Boscawen, N.H.) led the SNHU offense with a pair of shots on goal, while sophomores Amaris Taylor (Tulsa, Okla.) and Erin Frost (East Andover, N.H.) each put one shot on target.
