The Southern New Hampshire University women's tennis team shut out American International College Saturday afternoon.
The Penmen started with a 3-0 lead as the Yellow Jackets had only four players in the lineup, thus forfeiting No. 3 doubles and No. 5 and 6 singles. In doubles play, Ashley Loft (Leysin, Switzerland) and Nour Kaddour (Paris, France) were 8-0 winners at No. 1, while Rachel Wagner (Framingham, Mass.) and Kaitlin Poje (East Stroudsburg, Pa.) also won 8-0 at No. 2.
Lindsay Baum (North Salem, N.Y.) and Wagner were straight-set winners at No. 3 and 4 singles, respectively.
Notes:
- SNHU extended its win streak to four matches.
- The Penmen improved to 15-0 all time against the Yellow Jackets.
