Women's Tennis Moves Past Bentley 8-1

The Southern New Hampshire University women's tennis team bested Bentley 8-1 for its sixth straight win on Wednesday afternoon.

The Penmen took down wins in all three doubles matches and in five of six singles matches.  In singles action, Lindsay Baum (North Salem, N.Y.) won a three-set match at No. 5, prevailing 6-2, 4-6, 10-8.  Yolanda Green (Springfield, Mass.) fell in three sets for SNHU at No. 3, forcing a third set with a 6-4 win in the second set.

Ashley Loft (Leysin, Switzerland) moved to 8-0 in dual match singles play with a 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 2.  In doubles action, Loft and Nour Kaddour (Paris, France) moved to 6-0 with an 8-1 win at No. 1.

Notes:
 - SNHU is unbeaten on the road this season (4-0).
 - Reigning NE-10 Rookie of the Week Kaitlyn Poje (East Stroudsburg, Pa.) was a 6-1, 6-1 winner at No. 4 singles.

Southern New Hampshire plays the first of three home matches over the holiday weekend when it hosts Saint Michael's College Friday at noon.
