WILSON, N.C. – The Southern New Hampshire University women's golf team finished off its inaugural 2015 tournament at the Barton College Intercollegiate on Tuesday. The Penmen posted a final score of 832 and finished seventh.
All five Southern New Hampshire participants improved on their opening round starting with freshman Shelby Reed (Concord, N.H.) who posted a 93. Reed's overall score of 197 was 27th best amongst all competitors in the tournament. Sophomore classmates Kerry Twomey (Londonderry, N.H.) and Aimee Cawlina (Peabody, Mass.) posted identical overall scores of 208, as Twomey posted a day two score of 97, while Cawlina posted a 102. Sophomore Autumn Scanlon (Waltham, Mass.) and senior Elizabeth Rennie (North Falmouth, Mass.) concluded their opening tournament effort with scores of 219 and 242 respectively.
The SNHU women's golf team remains idle for the rest of March before heading to West Chester, Pa. on April 12-13 to participate in the Dr. Edwin Cortell Invitational at Penn Oaks Golf Club.
