GOFFSTOWN, N.H. – Southern New Hampshire women's golf ended its 2014-15 season on Saturday afternoon as they conclude the inaugural Northeast-10 Conference Championship at Stonebridge Country Club. The Penmen shot a team score of 780 for the two-round tournament, including a program best second round score of 384. SNHU finished fourth amongst NE-10 teams competing.
Merrimack College would reel in the honor of Northeast-10 Champions, with Warrior Jessica Wagner finishing in first place in the individual standings.
Freshman Shelby Reed (Concord, N.H.) set a new program-best single round score, needing just 88 strokes to finish her second day effort and finish 15th in the standings. Sophomore Aimee Cawlina (Peabody, Mass.) put on a similar performance to her day one score of 91, with a second round score of 92. Cawlina's two-day score of 183 was the best overall score for the Penmen in route to her 11th place finish. Sophomore Kerry Twomey (Londonderry, N.H.) shot a 99 on day two, giving her a 201 overall for the tournament. Senior Elizabeth Rennie (North Falmouth, Mass.) wraps up her collegiate career with a 105, resulting in a final score of 208, with sophomore Autumn Scanlon (Waltham, Mass.) rounding out Penmen golfers with a final score of 217.
The end of the 2015 Northeast-10 Conference Championship marks the conclusion of the second varsity season of women's golf at SNHU.
