CAPITAL ONE ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT TEAMS
MANCHESTER, N.H. – Lindsay Bucknam (Bow, N.H.), who recently wrapped up a standout four-year career with the Southern New Hampshire University women's lacrosse program, was named to the Capital One Academic All-District At-Large Team Thursday afternoon. Bucknam is now eligible for Capital One Academic All-America honors.
To be eligible for Academic All-District and Academic All-America consideration, a student-athlete must be a starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher and reached sophomore athletic and academic standing. The Capital One All-District and All-America teams are voted on by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America. The Women's At-Large team consists of student-athletes from bowling, crew, fencing, field hockey, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, swimming, tennis, and water polo.
Bucknam, an Elementary Education/Special Education major, was the second-leading scorer for the women's lacrosse team in 2015, totaling 33 goals and nine assists for 42 points, while also recording 18 ground balls and 15 draw controls. Over her four-year career, Bucknam appeared in 63 games, registering 107 goals and 34 assists for 141 points, placing her ninth in program history in career goals and 10th in career points. The 2014-15 SNHU Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year, Bucknam was also a member of the Northeast-10 All-Academic Team in 2014.
