Sophomore Jill Piacitelli (East Greenwich, R.I.) stopped 15 shots, but the Southern New Hampshire University field hockey team fell to No. 5 Stonehill College, 10-0, at W.B. Mason Stadium on Saturday. The Skyhawks improve to 1-2 while the Penmen shift to 2-2.
Kacie Smith scored three goals and assisted on a fourth, and Erika Kelly added two goals and an assist to lead Stonehill. Dana Dhami earned the victory in goal for the Skyhawks, as she and Sara Freedman combined to make six saves in the win.
Notes:
- Stonehill entered Saturday's contest ranked No. 5 in the most recent National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) poll.
- Piacitelli recorded 13 saves in the first half before turning aside a pair of shots in the second half.
- Stonehill held a 37-10 edge in shots and a 14-9 advantage in penalty corners.

Southern New Hampshire continues its three-game road trip on Wednesday when it travels to Mercy College for a 4 p.m. face-off with the Mavericks.
