Southern New Hampshire rebounded from its first loss of the season, posting an 8-1 women's tennis victory at Le Moyne Wednesday afternoon.
The Penmen swept doubles play and were victorious in five of six singles matches. Ashley Loft (Leysin, Switzerland) remained unbeaten in singles action with a 7-6 (7-3), 6-2 win at No. 2, while Lindsay Baum (North Salem, N.Y.) won in straight sets at No. 5. In doubles play, Loft and Nour Kaddour (Paris, France) won 8-0 at No. 1 to remain perfect on the season. Kaddour was forced to withdraw from her singles match at No. 1.
Notes:
- Yolanda Green (Springfield, Mass.), Kaitlin Poje (East Stroudsburg, Pa.) and Rachel Wagner (Framingham, Mass.) each picked up their first singles wins on the season.
- The Penmen improved to 9-6 all-time against the Dolphins.
