The Southern New Hampshire University women's golf team opened the 2015-16 season with a dual match Saturday against Merrimack College.

Freshman Kaitlyn Lutinski (Derry, N.H.) led the Penmen with an 87, while junior Aimee Cawlina (Peabody, Mass.) carded a 94.  Kerry Twomey (Bedford, N.H.) shot 96, with Kailey Coleman (North Berwick, Maine) recording a 99.

Merrimack was led by Alessandra Ricigliano's two-over 72, while Krystal Knight posted a 74.

Notes:
 - Lutinski's 87 is a single-round record for the third-year women's golf program, as is the team score of 376.
