Score: Southern New Hampshire University – 357 (5^th/7)

Freshmen Rachel Ruffino (W. Orange, N.J.) and Alyssa Scandura (Rocky Hill, Conn.) shot 88 and 89, respectively, as the Southern New Hampshire University women's golf team placed fifth after the opening round of the Northeast-10 Championship on Sunday at the Brentwood Golf Course.

Ruffino is tied for 16^th, overall, while Scandura is tied for 20^th.

Senior Aimee Cawlina (Peabody, Mass.) and sophomore Kaitlyn Lutinski (Derry, N.H.) are both tied for 22^nd after each shooting 90, with senior Kerry Twomey (Londonderry, N.H.) tied for 26^th following a 93 that did not factor in the team score.

Notes:
- Two-time defending champion Merrimack College is leading the field by 13 strokes with a total of 315, while the Warriors' Krystal Knight's 2-over 74 paces the individual pack.
- The Northeast-10 Championship is comprised of 35 student-athletes from seven institutions.
