Sophomore Kylie Lorenzen (Holliston, Mass.) and senior Sara Ryan (Quincy, Mass.) each scored 13 points to lead the Southern New Hampshire University women's basketball team to Saturday's 63-55 triumph against Pace University at the Goldstein Fitness Center.

Lorenzen shot 3 of 8 from the floor and a perfect 7 of 7 from the line, while grabbing eight rebounds and handing out four assists. Ryan, meanwhile, went 4-for-11 from the field, including 3-for-5 from downtown, and 2-for-2 from the line, to go along with six rebounds, four steals, a pair of helpers and a block.

Alexandra Monteleone paced the Setters with 13 points, with Christina Rubin adding 12.

Southern New Hampshire led, 6-5, more than four minutes in when consecutive 3-pointers from Ryan, freshman Victoria Dean (Plymouth, Mass.) and sophomore Brianna Camara (Fall River, Mass.) carried an 11-0 run that was capped by a Lorenzen layup, which gave the Penmen a 16-6 lead with 2:20 left. Pace sandwiched a pair of trifectas around a layup from junior Catherine Stinson (Lynn, Mass.) to close the opening quarter with SNHU leading, 18-12.

The Penmen lead was at nine near the midway point of the second stanza when six points from Jackie DelliSanti powered an 8-0 rush that trimmed the Pace deficit to one at 25-24 with 2:34 remaining before the half. A 3-pointer from freshman Molly Terry (Shrewsbury, Mass.) halted the run and gave Southern New Hampshire some breathing room as it eventually brought a 30-26 advantage into the break.

After a Stinson trey opened the second-half scoring to give the Penmen a seven-point lead, a Monteleone basket, followed by a pair of Rubin triples, put Pace in the lead at 34-33 with 4:40 to play. A Camara free throw tied the game before 3-pointers from her and Stinson gave SNHU the lead for good at 40-34 with 2:38 left. A Terry trifecta ran the third-quarter lead as high as eight, but Rubin capped the scoring with a 3 of her own that pulled the Setters within 46-41 heading to the fourth.

Six points from Dean powered a 7-0 run that began the fourth-quarter scoring and gave Southern New Hampshire its largest lead of the day at 53-41 with 7:04 to play. Pace responded with an 11-2 blitz that featured four points from Monteleone and a 3-pointer from Rubin, which slashed the SNHU lead to 55-53 with under three minutes to go. Ryan followed by connecting on a huge 3-pointer that made it a two-possession game and sparked a game-ending 8-2 run that sealed the win.

Stinson finished with nine points (3-8 FG, 2-5 3-FG, 1-4 FT), while Dean also registered nine points (4-7 FG, 1-2 3-FG). Camara notched eight points (2-7 FG, 2-3 3-FG, 2-4 FT) and four rebounds, with Terry chipping in six points (2-4 FG, 2-4 3-FG) and a pair of rebounds. Junior Jennifer Shelp (Apalachin, N.Y.) posted five points (2-6 FG, 1-1 3-FG), five boards, three steals and two assists.
