Score: Southern New Hampshire University – 358 (5th/6)
Junior Kaitlyn Lutinski (Derry, N.H.) shot an 80 Sunday to tie for sixth place, while the Southern New Hampshire University women's golf team finished fifth, following the opening round of the Franklin Pierce University Fall Invitational at the Keene Country Club.
Lutinski is six shots off the pace.
Freshman Makyla Lewellen (Zanesville, Ohio) carded an 85 and is tied for 15th, while junior Kailey Coleman (No. Berwick, Maine) turned in a 95.
Sophomore Brooke Barrett (Bedford, N.H.) rounded out the Penmen scorers with a 98. Junior Morgan Mitchell (Charlton, Mass.) did not factor in the scoring with a 103.
Freshman Rachel Bruno (Dedham, Mass.), playing as an individual, totaled a 133.
Notes:
-Franklin Pierce leads after day one with a 305, which is 24 strokes better than Le Moyne College.
-Franklin Pierce's Sarah Daley is the individual leader with a 2-over 74.
-The FPU Fall Invitational is comprised of 39 golfers from six institutions.
