Sophomore Kaitlyn Lutinski (Derry, N.H.) shot an 86 as the Southern New Hampshire University women's golf team finished fifth at the one-day Women's Cougar Invitational on Tuesday at the Vista Valley Country Club.
Lutinski's performance left her in a tie for 17th, overall.
Senior Aimee Cawlina (Peabody, Mass.) carded a 97, placing her 22nd, while classmate Kerry Twomey (Londonderry, N.H.) registered a 101 to finish 25th.
Sophomore Kailey Coleman (No. Berwick, Maine) totaled a 105 to round out the Southern New Hampshire scorers.
Notes:
- This was Southern New Hampshire's first event of the spring after being off since October.
- The Women's Cougar Invitational, hosted by California State University San Marcos, was originally supposed to be a two-round tournament, played both Monday and Tuesday, but was shortened to a one-day event with heavy rain falling throughout the day Monday.
- CSU-San Marcos won the tournament with a 302, while the Cougars' Joan Park, playing as an individual, earned medalist honors with an even-par 71.
- The Women's Cougar Invitational was comprised of 29 student-athletes from six institutions.
