Score: Southern New Hampshire University – 716 (5th/7)
Sophomore Brooke Barrett (Bedford, N.H.) carded an 87 in the final round of the Northeast-10 Championship on Monday at the Haverhill Country Club, as the Southern New Hampshire University women's golf team finished fifth.
Barrett shaved 20 strokes off her score from Sunday's opening round, as she finished 31st with a 194.
Freshman Makyla Lewellen (Zanesville, Ohio) and juniors Kailey Coleman (No. Berwick, Maine) and Kaitlyn Lutinski (Derry, N.H.) all shot an 89. Lewellen finished 14th with a two-round total of 170, following an 81 in Sunday's opening round. Coleman's 89 paired with her 92 from the first round to total a 181 that placed her 21st, with Lutinski right behind in 23rd with a 183.
Junior Morgan Mitchell (Charlton, Mass.) matched Sunday's 95 in the final round, finishing 29th with a 190.
Notes:
-Franklin Pierce University captured the conference crown with a 618 that was two strokes better than host Merrimack College.
-Merrimack's Krystal Knight overcame a three-stroke deficit heading into the final round to win individual medalist honors by one stroke over Franklin Pierce's Camden Morrison with a 2-under 142.
-The Northeast-10 Championship was comprised of 37 golfers from seven institutions.
