Score: Southern New Hampshire University – 697 (3^rd/5)

Freshman Makyla Lewellen (Zanesville, Ohio) shot a final-round 78 and finished eighth, overall, as the Southern New Hampshire University women's golf team closed the Penmen Labor Day Classic in third place Monday at Hanover Country Club.

Lewellen finished up the first round with an 83 before shooting the 78 for a two-round total of 161.

Junior Kaitlyn Lutinski (Derry, N.H.) improved upon her first-round 85 with an 83 in the final round to finish tied for 10^th with a 168.

Sophomore Brooke Barrett (Bedford, N.H.) submitted a two-round total of 174 to place 16^th after adding a 90 to her first-round score of 84.

Junior Kailey Coleman (No. Berwick, Maine) rounded out the Penmen scorers with a 194 (99/95).

Notes:
-With Sunday's first-round being halted after nine holes due to rain, the final nine holes were made up Monday, along with the entire final round of play.
-Franklin Pierce University captured the tournament title with a 613, just six strokes ahead of Merrimack College.
-Merrimack's Krystal Knight and Alessandra Ricigliano shared individual medalist honors as they each carded a 144 for the tournament.
-The Penmen Labor Day Classic was comprised of 31 golfers from six different institutions.
-Freshman Rachel Bruno (Dedham, Mass.) did not factor in the scoring, as she finished with a 246 (125/121).

The Penmen return to action Thursday, Sept. 7 when they travel to Orange Hills Country Club in Orange, Conn., for a dual match with Post University.
