Junior Kaitlyn Lutinski (Derry, N.H.) shot a 94 for the second straight round Friday, as the Southern New Hampshire University women's golf team finished eighth at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate, hosted by Boston University at Pinehurst No. 8.

Lutinski finished with a 288 over the tournament's 54 holes, finishing in a tie with freshman Makyla Lewellen (Zanesville, Ohio), who turned in her second-best round of the week Friday with a 96.

Sophomore Brooke Barrett (Bedford, N.H.) joined Lewellen as the only Penmen to break 100 in all three rounds at the challenging course, carding a 98 in the final round to finish at 290 for the tournament.

Junior Kailey Coleman (No. Berwick, Maine) penciled in a 104 for a three-round total of 315, while classmate Morgan Mitchell (Charlton, Mass.), who did not factor into the scoring, matched her 104 to total up a 325.

Notes:
-Eastern Kentucky University won the tournament with a 945, using its best round of the week – a 309 – to defeat the runner-up the University of Richmond by 28 strokes.
-Eastern Kentucky's Ragga Kristinsdottir was the individual medalist with a 230 – three shots better than her teammate, Elsa Moberly.
-The Pinehurst Intercollegiate was comprised of 46 golfers from eight institutions.
