Senior Morgan Mitchell (Charlton, Mass.) shot an 85 Saturday, as the Southern New Hampshire University women's golf team opened its season by placing 14^th at the first round of the Dartmouth Invitational at Hanover Country Club.

INDIVIDUAL SCORERS

• Mitchell is tied for 64^th, overall.
• Junior Brooke Barrett (Bedford, N.H.) and senior Kaitlyn Lutinski (Derry, N.H.) matched scores, as they each carded an 87.
• Freshman Hannah May (Phoenix, Ariz.) and sophomore Makyla Lewellen (Zanesville, Ohio) also put up equal rounds, both shooting an 88, with only one counting toward the team score.

NOTES

• Freshman Anna Casagrande (Pelham, Mass.), playing as an individual, penciled in an 87 for the round.
• The Penmen were one of just two non-Division I teams in the field.
• The University at Albany leads after the opening round with a 289, which is seven strokes ahead of Harvard University.
• Siena College's Sara Riso is the individual leader after 18 holes with a 6-under 66 – two shots ahead of Albany's Megan Henry.
• The Dartmouth Invitational is comprised of 86 student-athletes from 15 institutions.
