Freshman Hannah May (Phoenix, Ariz.) fired a 3-over 75 Sunday, as the Southern New Hampshire University women's golf team placed third, overall, following the opening round of the Franklin Pierce University Fall Invitational at Keene Country Club.
INDIVIDUAL SCORERS
- May is third, overall, on the individual leaderboard and six shots off the pace.
- Junior Brooke Barrett (Bedford, N.H.) carded an 81 and is tied for 15th.
- Sophomore Makyla Lewellen (Zanesville, Ohio) shot an 85 to tie for 20th, while senior Morgan Mitchell (Charlton, Mass.) is right behind in a tie for 22nd after turning in an 86.
NOTES
- Freshman Anna Casagrande (Pelham, Mass.) did not factor in the scoring with an 88.
- Senior Kailey Coleman (No. Berwick, Maine), playing as an individual, shot an 89.
- Merrimack leads after the opening round with a 312, which is two strokes ahead of Franklin Pierce.
- Merrimack's Krystal Knight is the individual leader after 18 holes with a 3-under 69 – four shots ahead of Le Moyne's Bianca Cruz-Hernandez.
- The Franklin Pierce Fall Invitational is comprised of 49 student-athletes from nine institutions.
