Freshman Gabby Thomas (Johnstown, Ohio) carded a 79 in the final round of the Penmen Fall Invitational on Tuesday, as the Southern New Hampshire University women's golf team finished third at Lake Sunapee Country Club.

INDIVIDUAL SCORERS

• Thomas tied for third with a 156, after adding the 79 to her opening-round 77.
• Graduate student Morgan Mitchell (Charlton, Mass.) added one stroke to Monday's round with an 81, tying for ninth with a 161.
• Sophomore Hannah May (Phoenix, Ariz.) matched her 81 from the first round and tied for 11th with a 162.
• Junior Makyla Lewellen (Zanesville, Ohio), who did not factor into the team scoring Monday, improved by one shot with an 84, as she finished 24th with a 169.

NOTES

• Sophomore Anna Casagrande (Pelham, Mass.) did not factor into the scoring with an 85 and placed 16th with a 165.
• Junior Rachel Bruno (Dedham, Mass.), playing as an individual, recorded a 119 to finish with a 230.
• Franklin Pierce University (628) edged Stonehill College (632) by four shots to win the event.
• FPU's Jinnapat Rittawee, the individual leader after day one, fired the top score of the tournament - a 1-under 71 - to earn individual medalist honors with a 3-over 147. She won by seven strokes.
• The Penmen Fall Invitational was comprised of 44 golfers from nine institutions.

WHAT'S NEXT

• The Penmen wrap up the fall season Oct. 13-14 when they compete in the Northeast-10 Championship at the Shenendoah Golf Course at Turning Stone in Verona, N.Y.
