Freshmen Magdalena Hubickova (Prague, Czech Republic) and Isabella Andrade (Cochabamba, Bolivia), as well as sophomore Elizabeth Dwyer (Cutchogue, N.Y.), each came away victorious in both of their matches to lead the Southern New Hampshire University women's tennis team to a 5-2 victory over Franklin Pierce University on Saturday at the Penmen Stadium Tennis Courts.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS
- Hubickova outlasted Himani Mor, 6-3, 7-6 (7-2) at No. 1 singles and also combined with sophomore Alexxa Etienne (Bayamon, Puerto Rico), for a 6-2 No. 1 doubles triumph against Mor and Liria Loria.
- Andrade took down Jazmin Flood, 6-2, 6-1, at No. 5 singles, while Dwyer toppled Brigid Washburn, 6-3, 6-1, at No. 6. Andrade and Dwyer teamed up for a 6-1 victory at No. 3 doubles against Washburn and Jillian Pagliuca.
NOTES
- Hubickova and Andrade remain undefeated at 5-0 in dual-match action, thus far.
