Sophomore Hannah May (Phoenix, Ariz.) carded a 79 in the opening round of the Saint Rose Fall Invitational on Sunday, as the Southern New Hampshire University women's golf team slotted in second, overall.

INDIVIDUAL SCORERS

• May is tied for third, just one shot off the pace.
• Graduate student Morgan Mitchell (Charlton, Mass.) is in sixth after shooting an 80.
• Freshman Gabby Thomas (Johnstown, Ohio) turned in an 83 in her first round of collegiate golf to tie for 10^th.
• Sophomore Anna Casagrande (Pelham, Mass.) and junior Makyla Lewellen (Zanesville, Ohio) each totaled a 90 to tie for 27^th.

NOTES

• Franklin Pierce University leads Southern New Hampshire by eight strokes.
• FPU's Jinnapat Rittawee and American International College are tied atop the leaderboard with a 6-over 78.
• The Saint Rose Fall Invitational is comprised of 49 golfers from seven institutions.
