Senior Victoria Dean (Plymouth, Mass.) scored a team-high 15 points in the final game of her career, as the Southern New Hampshire University women's basketball team, the Northeast Division's No. 4 seed, had its run in the Northeast-10 Championship draw to a close Sunday with a 81-55 loss to 10th-ranked Adelphi University, the top seed from the Southwest Division, in a quarterfinal showdown at the Center for Recreation and Sport.

KEY MOMENTS

• Adelphi ran out to a quick 10-0 lead just 90 seconds in with a balanced run that featured four different scorers.
• The margin was still an even 10 at 32-22 with just under two minutes to play in the opening half when Emily Miccile scored eight straight points, spanning the second and third quarters, to ignite a 19-5 barrage that extended the Adelphi lead to 51-27 with 5:29 left in the third.
• The Panthers would then all but seal it with a 14-6 run early in the fourth quarter that gave them their largest lead of the contest to that point at 72-42 with 5:58 to go. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• Leonie Edringer paced Adelphi with 18 points (9-17 FG), 10 rebounds, four assists and three blocks, while Miccile added 16 points (7-16 FG, 1-2 3-FG, 1-2 FT), 16 boards and four assists.
• The Panthers outshot the Penmen, 44.2 percent (34-77) to 31.4 percent (22-70), including 31.6 percent (6-19) to 8.7 percent (2-23) from long range.
• SNHU was plus-2 from the line and shot it better, 75 percent (9-12) to 70 percent (7-10).
• The Penmen received more scoring from their bench (24-15), while the Panthers captured the glass (54-41) and the paint (42-38), and collected more points off turnovers (11-8) and second chance points (12-9), in addition featuring a more impressive assist-to-turnover ratio (26/9-15/11).

NOTES

• Southern New Hampshire has a two-game winning streak halted, while Adelphi wins its 11th straight.
• The Penmen dip to 4-9 (.308) all-time in the Northeast-10 Championship.
• Adelphi now leads the all-time series, 7-6, after winning for the seventh time in the last eight meetings. The Panthers also capture their fifth consecutive home game in the series and have not lost to SNHU in Garden City since Jan. 21, 2012 (81-74).
• Adelphi finishes the season 2-0 against the Penmen, who gave the then-16-0 Panthers all they could handle in a 92-90 double-overtime loss back on Jan. 11.
• Terry caps her career as the program's all-time leader in 3-pointers made with 188.
