Sophomore Hannah May (Phoenix, Ariz.) carded a two-round total of 159 on Monday, as the Southern New Hampshire University women's golf team finished 14th at the Fujikura Invitational at Shadowridge Golf Course in Vista, Calif.

INDIVIDUAL SCORERS

• May shot a 79 in the opening round and followed it up with an 80 in the second round to finish tied for 33rd.
• Graduate student Morgan Mitchell (Charlton, Mass.) totaled a 170 with an 81 in the first round and an 89 in the final round.
• Freshman Gabby Thomas (Johnstown, Ohio) rebounded from her 92 in the first round to shave nine strokes off and claim an 83 in the second for a total of 175.
• Sophomore Anna Casagrande (Pelham, Mass.) was right behind with a 176 (86/90) to round out the SNHU scorers.

NOTES

• The event was originally supposed to be played over two days, but all-day rains in Tuesday's forecast forced 36 holes to be played Monday.
• Junior Makyla Lewellen (Zanesville, Ohio), who did not factor into the scoring, tabulated a 192 (93/99).
• Classmate Rachel Bruno (Dedham, Mass.), playing as an individual, penciled in a 225 (116/109).
• California State University-San Marcos, the host of the tournament, placed first with a 2-over 578, which was 38 shots better than the runner-up Academy of Art University.
• CSUSM's Jamie Jacob earned individual medalist honors with a 7-under 137 - seven strokes better than teammate Savannah Magallon.
• The Fujikura Invitational was comprised of 78 golfers from 14 institutions.
