Senior Anna Casagrande (Pelham, Mass.) of the Southern New Hampshire University women's golf team fired an even-par 72 to finish second at the Northeast-10 Championship on Sunday at Beaver Meadow Golf Club.
INDIVIDUAL PERFORMERS
- Casagrande, who entered the day in second and just two shots back, turned in the second best score of the day with a 72 that gave her a 4-over 148 for the tournament. She wound up finishing two strokes behind the winner.
- Junior Gabby Thomas (Johnstown, Ohio) penciled in an 81 and placed eighth with a 160.
NOTES
- Casagrande submitted three more birdies to tie for first in the event with six.
- Franklin Pierce University's Kesinee Prukmathakul, who shot a 78 in the opening round, carded a 4-under 68 Sunday to win with a 2-over 146.
- While the Penmen are not competing as a team, Franklin Pierce earned the title by 51 shots with a 616.
- The NE10 Championship was made up of 33 golfers from eight different institutions.
