KEY MOMENTS
- Trailing by two in the opening set, Southern New Hampshire reeled off eight straight points – highlighted by three kills from Fontaine and two from Thawnghmung – to grab an 11-5 lead. Le Moyne crept to within two later in the set when the Penmen responded by ripping off an 8-1 run - with three kills from Di Valerio and two from Thawnghmung – to go up, 1-0, in the match.
- Le Moyne looked like it would even the score, as it was on top, 21-18, in the second, but the Penmen would rattle off the final seven points – with Thawnghmung contributing three kills – to take a commanding 2-0 lead.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- SNHU outhit Le Moyne in all three sets, as well as .231-.092 for the match.
- The Penmen held a 4-0 advantage in blocks, while Le Moyne owned a 9-6 edge in aces.
NOTES
- Southern New Hampshire has now alternated wins and losses over its last five matches and has won four of six.
- SNHU's 9-8 start to the season matches its same record through 17 contests in the 2019 campaign.
- The Penmen have now won seven of 10 and four of five, including three straight, against the Dolphins. During the three-match winning streak against Le Moyne, SNHU has not dropped a set.
